What we believe
- We believe that the Bible is the Word of God – the full revelation of God, His plan, and His procedures to carry out His plan. (2 Timothy 3:16; Heb. 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20)
- We believe that God is one yet three (Triune or Trinity – Father, Son, and Spirit). (Gen. 1:1; Isa. 42:5; 45:18; Zech. 12:1; Heb. 11:6; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19)
- We believe that God the Creator (Who is Spirit) became flesh (incarnated), i.e., became a man, the man called Jesus, who was both God and man. (Matt. 1:21; Luke 1:31; John 1:1, 14)
- We believe that for 33 ½ years, this God-man Jesus Christ lived the perfect human life to be the unblemished Lamb of God to die for our sins and much more. (John 1:29; 2 Cor. 5:21)
- We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified (died on the cross, shedding His blood) and was buried to accomplish an all-inclusive death, to terminate many negative things (Sin, sins, the flesh, etc.) and to be the “grain of wheat” to germinate us as His new creation. (Heb. 9:12, 14, 22; John 12:24)
- We believe that He then resurrected from the dead bodily (1 Cor. 15:3-4). In that resurrection He became the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45b) to breathe Himself into us (John 20:22) as our life and life supply (Col. 3:4; John 11:25)
- We believe that, following His resurrection, He ascended into heaven, where He was enthroned (crowned) as Lord of all. (Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9-11; Eph. 1:22)
- We believe that Christ can now enter into all those who believe and receive Him (John 1:12), at which point they are born again or born anew with Himself as their eternal life. Another term for this is the “dispensing” of God into man. (John 1:13; 3:6-8; Col. 1:27; 3:4).
- We believe that this Jesus Christ who is in heaven in resurrection and, as the Spirit, dwells in all His believers, will someday return to Earth to establish His kingdom. This will be the crowning event of this whole process, the full expression of God through His Son Jesus Christ in His believers for eternity. (Luke 12:36; Acts 1:11)
